Here we go!

Our first post. The first step to share all our passion for food, to show to the whole world the great culinary tradition of our land. Who doesn’t know paella, Spanish omelette or the famous jamón ibérico. But Spanish cuisine is more than fabada o gazpacho, tapas or pinchos. There are several “Spains”, beyond toros and flamenco, which are still largely unknown by most people who visit our country.

Fortunately, the last years, the new Spanish cuisine has spread across borders thanks to a generation of daring chefs, led by the great Ferrán Adriá, the man who put Spain in the vanguard of world cuisine. At present, new young chefs are picking up the slack: Can Roca, David Muñoz or Eneko Atxa are only some of the many examples of this revolution.

Each of the seventeen autonomies forming Spain has a full and diverse cultural tradition, which influences the local cuisine. The cuisine of Andalucía or Valencia is totally different from what you can find in Galicia or Asturias. This is one of the goals of our Blog: show you the full range of local recipes, the gastronomic customs of each region, breaking news and reviews of non-tourist but amazing restaurants where you can enjoy a real local food.

• Tapas: a tapa is not only an appetizer, it’s the essence of the gastronomy and lifestyle of people of Spain. It’s inconceivable having a cold beer under a hot sun in a terrace and not to have a tapa of calamares a la romana or patatas ali-oli. We’ll show you several kinds of tapas you can find in Spain, and of course, their recipes.
• Recipes: all kinds of typical and homemade recipes, focusing on Spanish cuisine, but without forgetting the most representative dishes of international cuisine, most of the time with a Spanish touch. It includes a brief report of the nutritional information of the recipe. It’s important to know that the nutritional data refers to raw ingredients, before cooking. We also offer you the possibility of download a pdf version of the page, with whole recipe information.
• Drinks: reports, reviews and information about all the categories of Spanish wines and other drinks. The last year, Spain became the first wine producer in the world for first time, surpassing countries such as France and Italy. There are 69 Denominations of Origin and 41 Country Wines, among them, you can find wines from all parts of Spain.
• News: breaking news about Spanish cooks and gastronomic events held in Spain.
• Reviews: We’ll show you where you can to taste real local food. Maybe the most of the restaurants shown here don’t appear in the guides but we assure you in this places, you’ll can taste good homemade and local food.
• Reports: there are a lot of known traditions in Spain, but we’ll show you the most unknown gastronomic traditions, many of which, hundreds of years old.

This place is our hobby, not our job. For that reason, we can not update the site as much as we would like , but at least, we hope you enjoy with our posts.
